²Ýݮֱ²¥ is committed to identifying, removing and preventing barriers for persons with disabilities. The Board is committed to supporting human rights and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 builds on previous legislation (The Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001), by the development of Accessibility Standards. The goal of this legislation is to have an accessible Ontario by the year 2025. Accessibility standards have been developed in the following areas:
- Accessible Customer Service;
- Accessible Information and Communications;
- Accessible Built Environment;
- Employment Accessibility;
- Accessible Transportation.
Accessible Information
The Board is committed to providing accessible information to students, staff, parents/guardians and community members about its services. The Board will provide information or documents in an accessible format or with a communication support, upon request by persons with disabilities. We will consult with the person who is making the request to determine the suitability of the format or communication support. We are committed to providing the accessible format in a timely manner and at no additional cost. You can request accessible documents using the contact information on this page. Please include in your request: your name, address, email address/phone number, the name of the document you are requesting, and your preferred format (i.e. html, large print, etc.).
The Board recognizes that accessibility planning needs the input of persons with disabilities. If you are a member of the public and have had difficulty accessing our facilities or services, please contact us.

Website Accessibility
Improving the accessibility of our website for all users is important to the Board. Modifications can be made to your operating system and Internet browser to improve accessibility. The Board offers the following online features:
ZOOM
users can increase or decrease the size of the fonts on the website by using the browser’s zoom feature or by changing their computer’s screen resolution.
MENUS
Menus are keyboard accessible by allowing users to use the tab key and arrow keys to navigate the menus. A mouse is not required to navigate the menus.
SCREEN READER ACCESSIBLE
The content contained within the website can be read by a screen reader. Images have descriptions and tables are accessible.
